Clarkston Surgery Center adds da Vinci Si Robotic Surgical System
Clarkston Surgery Center has announced the addition of the da Vinci Si Robotic Surgical System. This system is one of the first robotic surgical systems offered in an ambulatory (outpatient) facility in the State of Michigan.
Julie Ruzicka, RN, Clarkston Surgery Center Administrator, states “We are very excited to be one of the first ambulatory surgery centers in Michigan to offer robotic-assisted surgery. It is a technology that is very well-suited for the outpatient setting.”
Other benefits of robotic-assisted surgery over conventional surgical techniques include:
- Improved 3-D HD visualization
- Smaller, more precise incisions
- Less blood loss
- Reduced risk of complications
- Less need for post-operative pain medication
- Quicker recovery time
Common robotic surgical procedures available at Clarkston Surgery include hernia repairs and gall bladder removal.
